Brief Summary of Water Supply to Cantonment Area (Independent)

The Cantonment Board is maintaining 03 tube wells, 11 open wells, 22 hand pumps, two overhead tanks of 1.5 Lac gallons and 1.00 Lac gallons capacity and a sump well of 1.5 Lac gallons capacity. Water is also being procured in bulk supply i.e. 75,000 gallons on alternate days from Nagar Nigam and 50,000 gallons daily from MES on payment. Board is supplying on an average 48 litres of water per head per day. Sanction of Rs. 610.93 Lac for service charges was received for Saugor Augmentation of Water Supply Project (Locally known as Rajghat Scheme). First installment of Rs. 4,10,93,000.00/- has been paid to Nagar Nigam, Saugor.
