Saugor is a Class One Cantonment Board. The Cantonment Board was established in the year 1835. Its total area is 4048.792 acres including civil area of  142.22 acres. As per 2001 Census, The civil population was  30834.

The varied Board consists of two members:

(a)  President                    : (1) Brig. K. P. Das

                                       from 1.04.2004 to 8.07.2004

                                           (2) Brig. Prithviraj Patil

from 23.07.2004 to 31.03.2005

(b)  Cantonment Executive Officer  : Shri Suresh Nagar

from 1.04.2004 to 31.03.2005
